Anicka Yi Box Set - Casa Bosques
A trilogy of rare cacao encounters — heirloom, acriollado, and self-evolved hybrid — paired with fungi, algae, minerals, and miso.
Intriguingly decadent yet unwaveringly sophisticated, they balance wild invention with disciplined elegance. In this collaboration with Casa Bosques, Anicka Yi extends her inquiry into the biopolitics of the senses through flavors that evoke early life: the vegetal presence of algae, the strangeness of fungi, and the fermented depth of miso. Cast in a pre-Cambrian form, the chocolate becomes a sensory artifact of speculative prehistory — a portal into the shared metabolism that connects all life, past and future.
Produced by Casa Bosques, each bar reflects a thoughtful approach to chocolate making rooted in origin, material and design.

Casa Bosques Chocolate is a unique project emphasizing the exploration of chocolate's history, origins, and culture. Sourcing heirloom cacao beans from small ranches in Mexico and Latin America, particularly in Pichucalco, Chiapas, each bar begins with just two ingredients: heirloom cacao beans and organic cane sugar. During production, they incorporate additional natural ingredients while avoiding emulsifiers, artificial flavorings, or preservatives. Collaborating with artists for limited editions, Casa Bosques transforms chocolate into edible art, ensuring each bite is a journey of flavor and craftsmanship.
